Warriors BV
presents
WE'LL BE BACK IN KHAO LAK IN 2026!
We're doing it again! In late April 2026 we're heading back to Khao Lak, Thailand. Warriors BV are going to be putting on the most excitingly awesomest, funnest and enjoyingablest training camp ever created in the history of beach volleyball camps... since the last ones we've done.
The 2024 camp at Robinson Club in Khao Lak, Thailand, was fantastic, so... we're going back in late April 2026. It'll be the back end of high season, so a lot less rain and snorkeling trips to the Similan islands between training. This camp will be open to all levels: from advanced. all the way through to beginners.
Khao Lak, Thailand was great in September 2024, Nam Hoi An, Vietnam was awesome in August 2025... Khao Lak in April 2026 will be the best camp yet!
We'll find you great deals on accommodation, you'll get sick merchandise and be around a whole lot of cool crew improving their skills and meeting new peeps.
Roughly an hour north of Phuket, driving along the Andaman Sea coastline, you'll find Khao Lak; where the mountains meet the sea... and villages are filled with chilled villagers. The water is warm, and every day sits between 24 and 32 degrees.
April on the Andaman Coast is the back end of high season, before it gets wet, but after the masses have passed through. Flights and accommodation are cheaper, yet the snorkeling on the Similan islands is still happening.
This is where we will be holding the camp. The Robinson Club is considered one of the best hotels in Khao Lak. It's huge! Best bit... the off-season prices make luxury affordable!
In their words:
Located by the clear waters of the Andaman Sea, Robinson Khao Lak features a full-service spa and 3 outdoor pools set in peaceful tropical landscapes. The hotel is 1.6 miles from Pak Weep Beach in Khao Lak National Park. Buffet breakfast and 6 dining options are available.
Robinson Khao Lak is a 30-minute drive from Tublamu Navy Golf Course. It is 12 mi from Takua Pa market town and 52 mi from Phuket International Airport. Free parking is available.
The spa offers relaxing menus of traditional massages as well as private treatment villas. Other leisure options include a fitness center, a wide variety of sports and the adventurous excursions to the nearby national park.
But really, what you all need to know is...
They have two purpose-built beach volleyball courts WITH LIGHTS! We can game it out well past dark.
HAVE ANY QUESTIONS?
SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE FOR OUR FAQ SECTION.
We'll have a specific training itinerary once we have numbers confirmed. But for now, training sessions will run in the early mornings, and evenings, giving you the entire day to enjoy the resort, beaches and other local options... and there are so many!
Please note, the sessions are not mandatory. If you have planned a day trip somewhere and can't do a session, let us know. We're all good. The bottom line is, we want you to have fun.
We're also having chats with the local Khao Lak Volleyball crew, and plan to go hang out with the locals at Memories Bar (they have courts) on one of the afternoons.
As for training, the schedule will change, depending on the number of people we have attending.
These are the current, TBC times:

We'll be in a resort with a whole bunch of cool stuff to do, from tennis courts, archery, soccer, beach sports, gym, yoga, massage, party evenings, game evenings as well as a whole host of kid stuff for anyone bringing some little ones. The resort is massive! Throw in all the touristy stuff outside the resort, and you'll never be without an option.
It'll be fun! Join us...
We will be finishing off the training camp with a massive inter-crew tournament. The tournament set-up will be determined by how many peeps we have at the camp. We will aim for it to be a multi-sport, mixed level teams comp. As with the camp itself, you can choose to join in on the fun, or do your own thing.
More to follow
This IS included in the cost.
We are currently in discussions with The Robinson to secure the best possible prices for accommodation. Seasonal price changes kick in on the 1st May, making for a substantial drop in price. The Robinson are currently working in this drop in price to be included in a final pricing from Sunday 27th April to Sunday 3rd May. We will have these details soon, along with accommodation deposit amounts etc.
That said, we're monitoring a bunch of booking sites, and Agoda currently sits ahead of the others. The best part... they have free cancellation/pay at the resort. So, you can book now knowing you've locked in a room, but be able to cancel and re-book when the cheaper prices start to drop. AND... they've already started.
Currently (30/12/2025) Agoda has this price from the 26th April - 3rd May (7 nights) well above the below amount. We'll keep an eye on the best prices and let you know when they've dropped to a decent amount. Feel free to book a 'no payment now, free cancellation' room, now, so you have a room... but, definitely DON'T pay in advance yet. The current prices are well above what they will be soon.
This price will drop, as we're heading over at back-end of high season and the start of low season. We will keep a regular update on this. If you're travelling solo, but are open to sharing a double room, let us know and we'll see if we can link you up.
Below is an example of the pricing (as of Nov 1) for April 2026 (2 Adults):

Do you have to stay at the location?
No. There will be alternative options, but, we're in the process of organising the best possible price with The Robinson. What we found with the last two camps, is that the pricing for the Robinson finished up at comparable prices, and meant everyone could hang out together. Our suggestion is, you book with a free cancellation option, or purchase one (Expedia offers an add-on). That way, when the prices drop, as they undoubtedly will, given it's the end of the high season, you can re-book at a cheaper rate. We will be giving regular updates on the changing prices. More to follow.
-----
What is the estimated budget you should expect for the camp?
This depends on who you fly with, when you plan to arrive and leave, whether you stay at the location and factoring in the camp costs. Using the 2024 and 25 camps as a guide, 2k should be a safe number. This wouldn't include the spending you do at a night market, the endless cheap massages you endure of an evening, or the hire of a scooter. 2k should do it.
-----
Is this camp OK for beginner/intermediate level players? Or are you expecting only advanced level players?
As of January 2026, we will have sessions catering to intermediate/advanced players. Unfortunately, we have a solid group of intermediate and advanced level players who have signed up, but not enough beginners. We will have beginner options open for 2027.
-----
Do you need a visa for Thailand? Should we get insurance?
This is a good question... as of writing this, if you're an Australian or European Union citizen, you are granted two 30 Day visa's on arrival for all tourism related travel. The Thai government are currently setting up a pre-arrival ETA - Electronic Travel Authorisation - which will likely be in place by April 2026. If similar to other countries with an ETA, it usually requires completion 48/72 hours prior to travel.
We recommend you purchase travel insurance. You may find you have it as a benefit of your credit card, or with your current health insurance. We will have some travel insurance options in the Whatsapp group (you receive a link to this group once you have paid a deposit. If you have been on a previous camp, you'll have access already). That said, Thailand may change their Visa policy between now and then. We'll let everyone know if we end up in another country.
-----
Will training be similar to (Melbourne) Sunsets/Saturday sessions?
In that 'fun, make sure you enjoy the training', kinda way... yes. But, this will be five straight days of double sessions; they will be more structured, with specific technical focus each day. For those living outside of Melbourne, our aim is for you to have as much fun as possible, while you learn. We want you to come away from the camp a better play, with a smile you can't remove.
-----
So, a deposit confirms a spot?
Yes. Unless we run out of spots...
-----
What is the capacity of the camp?
32 is our happy place for larger camps. This camp will have a maximum 24, as we will only have access to two courts.
-----
Does the camp fee include accommodation, food, flights?
No. The camp fee includes ALL group training sessions, the Saturday inter-crew event and merch. Flights, accommodation, travel insurance, food etc. are all separate.
-----
Is the 'inter-crew' tournament a compulsory part of the camp?
No. The inter-crew tournament is just a fun way to end the camp. Weather pending, we'll run it.
-----
Is training compulsory?
No. We know this camp is as much a holiday as it is a training camp, so if you want to go on a day tour and it leaves early... you can miss a training session. You may go out for the day and want to continue it into the evening, you can miss a session. We want you to have fun, and get better while doing it.
-----
If training is in the morning and late afternoon/evening... what do we do during the day?
Whatever you want! Treat it like a holiday. Cos, it kinda is. There will be a bunch of touristy things on offer. If we're back at The Robinson, you could pool hop... the Robinson has five of them! Play tennis, soccer, hang on the beach, swim/snorkel in the Andaman Sea... the Similan Islands are a quick boat ride away (look them up). Enjoy the warmth.
-----
Will we be able to get across to the Similan Islands?
That's the plan! We are looking to have an afternoon off to be able to spend the day/evening either visiting the markets, the local town centre or... getting a boat across to the Similan Islands to snorkel and chill. We will be looking into this more as we go.
-----
We will add more frequently asked questions right about here... as those questions come in.
